Catwoman: Life And Times Of A Feline Fatale
December 13, 2010
I was in Barnes & Noble a while back and, as I passed the “Bargain Books” area, this cover caught my eye and I stopped to look through it’s pages to see what it might contain on the subject of one of Batman’s most famous villainesses.
Basically, “Catwoman: The Life and Times of a Feline Fatale” is a tongue-in-cheek look at the Princess of Plunder in all her various incarnations over the past 67 years in comic books, TV shows and big screen films. Authoress Suzan Colon seems to have fun playing with and emphasizing Selina Kyle’s fashion, accessory and emotional displays with Batman as a comedic analogy of relationships between men and women. While entertaining, this is NOT to be taken seriously. But it IS entertaining.
Would I have purchased this book at it’s full retail price of $18.95? No. But for the bargain book price of $5.95, it will make a fun, light-hearted addition to my library of books about comic book characters.
Oh, and it also has an amusing forward by Adam West.
